Port Street Commons
Our multi-disciplinary, in-house team worked collaboratively to provide engineering, MEP, and architectural services for the Arc Central Chesapeake Region's Port Street Commons project. Port Street Commons is a 24,000-sf multi-purpose new construction facility located in the heart of downtown Easton. The facility serves as the new Eastern Shore headquarters for the Arc Central Chesapeake Region to support expansion of their operations throughout the Mid-Shore. The physical space includes offices and a 100-person training center.

RAUCH inc. is involved in the development of Heritage Shores, a 2,000-unit residential and golf course community in Bridgeville, Delaware. We have completed engineering design services for Phases 1, 2, 3A, and 3B. Design work included grading, storm drainage, water, sewer, stormwater management, and sediment control. We are currently designing a biochip reactor and micro bio-retention area for the fourth phase.

Development and civil engineering design services for the proposed 2,501 multi-unit Lakeside residential development in Trappe, Maryland. Responsibilities include land planning for lake and recreational amenities, wastewater treatment plant and water transportation network, grading, stormwater management, and environmental protection. Phase 1 includes 500 units, a wastewater treatment plant, water infrastructure, and entrance design.

Coastal Resilience

Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
St. Michaels, Maryland
RAUCH inc. was contracted by the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum to complete a Zoning Review and Site Design Report in support of their Phase III Master Plan. Our report evaluated sea level rise, flood mitigation, and stormwater management needs for the museum's campus and the Crab Claw restaurant, as well as regulatory requirements associated with critical areas law such as Environmental Site Design and nutrient load reductions.

Town of St. Michaels Sea Level Rise Strategies
St. Michaels, Maryland
Tourism and commercial fishing remain two of St. Michaels' primary economic drivers. Flooding and future sea level rise concerns led to an infrastructure study identifying viable, cost-efficient strategies to increase the town's resiliency. Consideration was given to both rainfall and tidal induced flooding, with evaluation of tide gates versus culverts, nature-based solutions, and reconstruction of low-lying streets.

Cypress Park Resilience Project
Pocomoke, Maryland
RAUCH inc. was retained by the City of Pocomoke to provide professional engineering services for the community's vision for Cypress Park on the Pocomoke River. The park features a 57-foot pedestrian bridge, 260-foot fishing pier, gazebo, exercise stations, and canoe/kayak launch sites. The park routinely floods from both rainfall and tidal events and is considered the heart of the community.

Phase II extended the existing rail trail from Aurora Street to Tubman Drive. Phase III connected Port Street to Aulds Alley. Features include benches, landscaping, and ADA-accessible elements.

Frederick Douglass Park

RAUCH inc. is partnering with Talbot County on improvements to Frederick Douglass Park, a 107-acre county-owned park and nature center on the Tuckahoe River. After receiving grant funding, Talbot County requested conceptual options to address current conditions and provide practical recommendations on infrastructure, visitor experience, and resource protection.

Polaris Village

RAUCH inc. is providing architectural and engineering services for the renovation and restoration of the 209 Port Street former site of the Mt. Pisgah Church. Purchased by Polaris Village Ministries, groundbreaking began to renovate the building and provide classrooms for infant to second grade, a multi-purpose room to serve as a library, dining and worship space, a commercial kitchen, and playground. The Church dates to the early 1900s and has a rich history with area families.
